Cohen held a contest with Kawamurafactory workers for Japanese names, choosing Nishiki forWCC's primary, nationwide line of bikes (after Saga Nishiki and thegold Nishiki thread often woven into wedding kimonos) - and Azuki forthe secondary bicycle line (after the sweetened, red Azuki bean),using the chrysanthemum as the Azuki logo. ZZZZZ is a five or six digit number, possibly representing asequential frame manufacturing number for the year (or era in thecase of pre 1975 frames).
